About the speaker:
Sara Poirier is the founder of Spark Strategic Science Communication. Before moving to Middletown, she worked as the staff astronomer at the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto. Her responsibilities included developing exhibits and programs and producing shows for the center’s planetarium. She worked extensively in educational television, where her shows included “When I Grow Up!” and “Ask Sara.” In 2011, she was recognized as a Telus Innovator by the Canadian Association of Science Centres for her work.
