Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 406 offers the next installment of its local interest lecture series, “From the Margins to the Mainstream: The Rise of the Irish in Nineteenth Century Newport,” on Wednesday, March 26th at the Ancient Order of Hibernians Hall at 2 Wellington Ave, Newport, RI. The lecture will be presented by John Quinn, Ph.D., Chair, History Department, Salve Regina University.

Doors open at 5:00 PM, and the lecture begins at 6:00 PM.
