Spotlight on Local Filmmakers

Featuring Corinna Halloran, Hannah Eaton, Jack Galvin, Lampton Enochs, Satya Sullivan and the Kinnane Brothers

Most of the filmmakers profiled here were children who loved filmmaking. Many started making home videos as kids and screened them for friends and family. What started as a hobby or an entry-level job evolved into something more — with some going on to film feature-length documentaries at home and around the world, while others went on to produce works that have won an Oscar or gained Emmy nominations. Others have started gatherings that became local film festivals, and some have met longtime inspirers through local incubator programs or short film projects. Collectively, they represent the local film scene, which is more robust than some might expect.
