Welcome to the re-launched Newport Wedding Magazine

Dear readers,

Welcome to the re-launched Newport Wedding Magazine! A sister publication to Newport Life Magazine, it has within its pages all sorts of local advice, whether you’re planning a wedding or a bachelorette party, or looking for tips on what to do and where to go in and around Newport.

Like many of you, it was our cover star’s dream to get married in Newport. We chatted with Mikayla Nogueira Hawken, of TikTok fame for her viral makeup videos, about her wedding story — last summer, she married the love of her life, Cody, at Castle Hill Inn, a picturesque setting overlooking the Atlantic. When asked how she knew Cody was the one, she laughed her deep, hearty laugh and said that, on their very first meeting, “the connection was instant.” Read more on page 42 of our print edition, on newsstands now.

There are also eight Real Wedding stories, a regular feature in Newport Life, expanded here and featuring couples who were wed in Newport, Portsmouth, Bristol and Little Compton, some of them local to the community and others long-time visitors. Each planned their own unique wedding, and we hope their stories lend some inspiration as you plan your own wedding (and, if you’re not planning a wedding, we hope you enjoy reading all their meet-cutes!).
